How to Get All Eevee Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Fast
If you're trying to build a flexible team early in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Eevee is easily one of the best Pokémon you can invest in.
Getting Eevee is simple — choosing the right evolution is where things get interesting.
This guide breaks down the fastest way to get every Eeveelution, including early-game locations, evolution methods, and a few tricks to save you hours of grinding.

Eevee Evolutions Explained
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Eevee evolves in two main ways:
Stone Evolutions (instant, no conditions)
Friendship Evolutions (require setup but more powerful early-game options)
There are 8 total Eeveelutions, and each one fits a different team style.
All Stone Evolutions (Fastest Method Overall)
These are the easiest evolutions in the game. Just use the correct stone — no level, time, or moves required.
Vaporeon – Water Stone
Jolteon – Thunder Stone
Flareon – Fire Stone
Leafeon – Leaf Stone
Glaceon – Ice Stone
How to Get Evolution Stones
Buy from Stone Emporium (₽3,000 each)
Find as overworld items in Lumiose City
Ice Stone unlocks later (after Main Mission 039)
If your goal is speed, stone evolutions are the quickest way to fill your Pokédex early.
Friendship Evolutions (Best Early-Game Power Picks)
These take more effort — but they’re often stronger choices for early progression.
How to Raise Friendship Fast
The most efficient method:
Visit cafés around Lumiose City
Use them repeatedly to boost friendship quickly
Pro tip:
Give Eevee a Soothe Bell to reduce the grind significantly.
If you're short on time and just want something like Sylveon or Umbreon for early progression, a lot of players skip the grind entirely and go straight for a ready-to-use evolution instead of building friendship from scratch.
All Friendship Evolutions
Espeon
High friendship
Level up during the day
Must NOT know Fairy-type moves
Umbreon
High friendship
Level up during the night
Must NOT know Fairy-type moves
Sylveon
High friendship
Must know a Fairy-type move
Level up anytime
Best Eeveelution for Early Game
If you're not sure which one to pick:
- Sylveon → safest all-around choice (strong typing + easy setup)
- Umbreon → extremely tanky, great for longer fights
- Jolteon → strong later, but less impactful early
Most players aiming for smooth progression go with Sylveon first, then fill out the rest later.
Where to Catch Eevee Early
You don’t need to wait for late-game — Eevee is available surprisingly early if you know where to look.
Best Farming Spot: Magenta Sector 9 Rooftop
Start from the Magenta Pokémon Center
Head northwest
Break rocks using Rock Smash
Climb the ladder near Alpha Kakuna
Check the southwest corner of the rooftop
Respawn Trick (Very Important)
Use the nearby bench to rest
This resets spawns
If Alpha Kakuna respawns, Eevee can respawn too
This is the fastest way to farm multiple Eevees early.
Other Eevee Locations
If you want backups or better IV rolls:
- Vert Sector 9 – Inner Courtyard
- Bleu Sector 7 – West Rooftop
- Magenta Sector 7 – North Rooftop
Late-Game Alternative
Wild Zone 19
Useful for Pokédex completion, but not efficient compared to rooftop farming early on.
