Battle Format & Rules

Season 6 uses a special 4-player free-for-all format. Key rules:

Match Time: Each battle lasts only 3 minutes.

Eligible Pokémon: Includes every species found in the Lumiose Pokédex (No. 001–232) and the Hyperspace Pokédex (No. 001–132). Building the strongest legal team starts with having the right Pokémon. If your Pokédex has gaps, pkmza provides solutions to help you complete your roster.

Big Change: You can now include one "Restricted" Legendary on your team. This includes powerhouses like Xerneas, Yveltal, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza.

Levels: All Pokémon are set to Lv. 50 for battles.

Team Rules: No duplicate Pokémon or held items.

How to Join

Participating is simple:

First, unlock the Z-A Battle Club by progressing in the main story.

In-game, press X, select "Connect & Play".

Choose "Ranked Battles" to enter matchmaking.

3 Key Winning Tips

The chaotic 4-player format needs smart play.

Go for First Actions. Earn bonus points for dealing the first damage, getting the final hit, or being the first to Mega Evolve. These points help you rank up faster.

Grab the Field Buffs. Colored orbs appear during battle. Grabbing them first gives your whole team a heal or stat boost. Control these to swing the match.

Build a Meta-Ready Team. With Mega Swampert and Legendaries allowed, prepare strong counters. Include moves that hit multiple foes, as you'll face three opponents at once.

Final Thoughts

Season 6 is the ultimate challenge and collection opportunity. The new Swampertite and last chance for past Mega Stones make it a must-play.

Test your skills, complete your collection, and climb the ladder when Season 6 begins on January 29th!
