Ranked Battles Season 2 Schedule

Event Period:

November 5, 2025 (10:00 p.m. PST) to November 25, 2025 (9:59 p.m. PST)

(Equivalent to November 6 – November 26, 2025 UTC)

 

During this period, Trainers can compete in real-time, four-player online battles to earn ranking points. You'll start from Rank Z and can climb all the way up to Rank A, with milestone promotion rewards along the way.

 

Exclusive Mega Evolution Rewards

Rank S Reward – Delphoxite

Reach Rank S during Season 2 to obtain Delphoxite, the Mega Stone that allows Delphox to Mega Evolve into Mega Delphox. This item is exclusive to Ranked Battles and cannot be found through regular gameplay.

 

Rank Y Reward – Greninjite

Greninjite, the Mega Stone required to Mega Evolve Greninja, returns as a promotion reward for Rank Y. If you missed it in earlier events, this is your second chance to add Mega Greninja to your team.

Both Mega Stones are limited-time rewards, so make sure to play before the season ends.

Eligible Pokémon for Season 2

The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Season 2 Ranked Battles will feature Pokémon from the Lumiose Pokédex No. 001–229.

All Pokémon between Level 1 and 100 can be registered, though every participant will automatically be set to Level 50 during battle for fair competition. Regional forms are allowed, giving Trainers even more creative freedom when building their teams.

Keep in mind that only one Pokémon of each species may be used per team — and Zygarde remains banned this season due to balance restrictions.

 

How to Start a Ranked Battle

Follow these steps to enter the Ranked Battle arena:

Launch Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Press the X Button to open the main menu.

Select Link Play.

Choose Ranked Battles to begin matchmaking.

 

You'll earn Battle Rewards after each match, Promotion Rewards when leveling up your rank, and Season Rewards once the season concludes.

 

How to Claim Season Rewards

To receive your earned items at the end of Season 2:

Wait for the season to officially end.

Launch your Pokémon Legends: Z-A game.

Press X → Link Play → Ranked Battles.

 

You'll automatically receive your in-game rewards if you've completed at least one match (win or lose) during the season.
